Outdoor Stuff

It is my intention to fill this area of the site with new and original ideas of fun things to do with your family and friends, but I need your help. I’m not very original in this area so I’m hoping you will write to me with your favorite things to do or invent some new ones.

Also I’d like to propose a challenge to you all. The challenge is to invent a new type of place to go where people can get together, have fun, be free and express themselves that isn’t a sports event, bar/night club, or church. I am not in judgment of any of the before mentioned places but am merely aware that if you are a person not interested in any of those, than there simply isn’t many places for you to go in this society to hang out with friends or meet new people. I know because I am one of them and know that I am not alone in this sentiment.

So I’m proposing a challenge to you to help come up with a concept for a new type of hang out. A place cool enough that it would entice a bored teenager to go there instead of sitting around drinking or doing drugs at a friend’s house. A place that people who have given up drugs and alcohol could go to have fun in a healthier environment. A place that encourages even the shyest individuals to loosen up and interact. A place where people might go to feel a sense of community without having to adhere to a certain set of beliefs.

In order for it to work, it would have to be a place that would be profitable to the owner of the establishment. It could be the greatest place in the world but if there isn’t one nearby you probably won’t go. If it’s profitable I guarantee you that eventually there will be one nearby, just look at how many bars and restaurants there are. And if there were as many of this type of place as there are bars we could actually shift our culture.

If you can think of any ideas please pass them on or keep them for yourselves and act on them and then write to us about what you’ve created so we can support it. I’m not looking to profit off the idea but merely to get the ideas out there so that they can become a reality.
